After choosing my genre I decided to briefly look into the conventions for trailers of that genre.
These include:
- Dark, scary (possibly intense) atmosphere.
- Aimed at female audience (the romantic aspect).
- Unusual, dramatic camera angles.
- A voice over tends to be used as an introduction to the romance/love theme.
- Incidental music (spooky).
- Dark colour grading (so the audience can see less).
