Ancillary Product Research - Forrest Gump Poster Analysis

The poster very much gives a sense of intrigue as it is a medium wide shot of Forrest. All the audience can see is his back and he only has his case with him while he sits on a bench. This suggests he may be going somewhere.
In the poster the colours white, red and blue are mainly used. This subtly hints towards the American flag since they are the colours of the American flag. This would attract American fans who are proud of being American as the film is set in America.
