Some Extra Research..

I'm not usually one to thoroughly read a newspaper but as I went to the kitchen one morning this article, in the Independent, caught my eye. It talks about the contents of a trailer and how people think about most trailers these days. I see no point in writing out the relevant facts/figures in the article, as let's face it, all of them are relevant. Instead, I urge you to read it and then return so I can say what the article's taught me.

Read it? Okay, I'll continue.

The main issue in the article appears to be the contents of trailers and how these days they are just too much, leading to disappointment when the feature film is watched. With the intention of grabbing the audience's attention most trailers fall into the trap of showing the best bits. For me, I know that my film is going to be a trailer and that's it so appears a loop hole where I can show what I believe would be the best parts of my film if I like as the rest of the film (outside the trailer) will not exist. Therefore, it would be silly not to do the contents of the trailer to the best of my ability.

That's all this post is really, some proof I did a bit of extra research into trailers and my opinion on it.

Pre-production will be starting soon so that's pretty exciting.

p.s. I did realize it was pointless for me to scan in the newspaper cut out as newspapers seem to be online these days, but oh well it's there now
