Emily, Georgina & Bertie's Costume - Day 3 // Production

For the third day of filming all characters were involved. Due to this appropriate costumes had to be planned that would work with their mise en scene so far during other days of filming.

Therefore, Emily (Wilhelmina) wore a pink cashmere jumper and dark blue jeans. The jumper, as you can see, is a bit different to what Emily usually wears as it is a much lighter colour compared to her usual choice of black clothing. This piece of clothing is meant to give the idea of hope to the audience and that there is a way out of depression for Emily. It also portrays that sometimes she may feel a little happier (as people with depression sometimes do). However, to ensure Emily's outfit works and isn't just bright colours the jeans I chose for her to wear were dark blue. These two items of clothing work well together to make a suitable, flattering outfit that a normal, regular teenage girl would wear.

Bertie (Toby) was filmed for the first time today. He is a friend of Emily who isn't too worried about her and doesn't think she has anything wrong with her. He doesn't understand depression and finds it hard to empathise with her. Nevertheless, he is still a friend of Emily and therefore dresses in a similar style to her (except not in girls clothes). What I mean is that Bertie is neither a 'jock' or a loner. He is a regular teenager who wears regular clothes which in this case were blue jeans, a patterned purple/pink top, a red jumper and burgundy converses.

Emily (myself) was filmed for the second time today. She wore simple clothes that are in keeping with her style.
